"Emery had two great games this week against Garden City and Grandfalls-Royalty in which we won both. She scored 10 points against GC and 25 against GFR. Emery is an extremely well rounded player and is a great leader and mentor to many."

Kylar Pepper stepped up in a major way during a big week with big time playoff implications. Averaging 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists for the week, Kylar not only led the team in scoring but was very much a vocal leader during the weeks matchup against Grady and Sands. During his 17 point outing against Sands on Friday, Kylar was a leading force in helping clinch a playoff spot for the Cougars.

Alejandra shows hard work on and off the field. Starts in the classroom and transfers onto the court. She works very hard in practice as well as in the game! As a sophomore, she is a captain on the basketball team! She plays with passion and has a love for the game and is always learning! She's a great representative of our Lady Buffs program! Thankful for all the hard work she displays!

Chance Pigg, Sophomore from Valley

In district ball games against Hart and Silverton, Chance has led the Patriots in scoring while shooting 17 of 22 (77%) from the field this week. Chance’s ability to find ways to score without the ball in his hands has created offense that has sparked the team the past couple of weeks. Chance has been doing all of these things while playing on a partially torn ACL he suffered during football.

On three days of practice, he scored 81 points in three games in our tournament, including a 43 point performance in the championship win over Hermleigh.
